State Titles 2025

Our second year as a team — and it was time to showcase South Australia Project Boxing.

Three athletes rose to the occasion, ready to represent the team at the State Titles.

Sarah, who had fought the year before and returned sharper and more composed. Nhan, our 19-year-old athlete, hungry and determined. And Jimmy — the “dad” of the team — 38 years old and proving that grit has no age limit.

State Titles meant stepping up more than once. It meant pressure. It meant endurance. It meant heart.

Nhan was up first and put on a strong performance. Watching him in there, showing courage and refusing to back down, reminded me exactly why we do this. I was genuinely amazed by his heart and composure.

Jimmy went in strong. From the outside, it truly looked like he was leading — setting the pace, controlling the exchanges, showing the experience and grit that defines him.

Sarah showed clear growth in her game. She stayed calm, composed, and disciplined. The improvement from the previous year was undeniable - sharper decisions, better control, stronger presence.

That weekend wasn’t just about results. It was about who we are becoming as a team. We didn’t come home with any wins but all bouts were extremely close.
